Recovering from Religion Foundation: RfRF
In my longing career, in my life, I've been fortunate to see tremendous growth and change in the field of mental health as we understand better. Some of the things that have changed dramatically over the past couple of decades include (but is not limited by) this list: our understanding of Trauma, our understanding of people on the Autism spectrum, our appreciation for and understanding of various gender identity and sexual identity, how to approach and treat people with several important diagnoses, our increasing understanding of our brain with trauma and with human behavior as a whole, the chemical agents in our brain: their absence and their presence, and how they affect us, and SO much more.
It's exciting to me.
But I'm older now. 😀
It's very, very hard for me to learn all of these new things. The information is amazingly available, but I'm struggling to read the material and to really remember and process it quickly.
But with my effort, it IS happening for me slowly.
One of the very best things that has changed over the years of my career is the VAST amount of information and connection that is now available with the rise of the internet. There is no doubt that the internet offers thinking people places to connect and to learn more about themselves.
If you are online today looking for hope, clarity, healing in the question of religion, belief, struggling with your faith, doubting, or NOT struggling with these things any longer but looking for a community, I highly recommend starting with RfRF, Recovering from Religion Foundation.
I STILL find it amazing, the internet. We're no longer limited by our geographic location, our small towns, our staid communities. We can, now, access information free and NOW.
The Freedom from Religion Foundation is a tremendous resource! I wish it had been available back in the 1990's! 😄
RfRF is a website backed by dedicated, informed human beings and communities that offers you space for thinking, talking with other humans, reading, exploring all of the questions and nagging thoughts you have been dealing with all alone.
No need to be alone any longer!
No need to stay in your own, terrified, confused head!
- How to approach the questioning.
- How to go through a personal journey of deconversion.
- How to live your life after leaving your faith.
- Continuing to think and grow and live your new life.
I wish something like RfRF had been around for my own deconverstion! Give them a visit.
Then, let me know what you think. What was your experience? Yes or no?
Did you explore the entire website and its offerings and resources?
Did you make any contacts? How did they go?
Would you recommend RfRF to someone else?
Readers, Friends, stay with me.
I'm planning on some interesting blog posts coming up.
Please leave feedback.
Feedback can help me create the content that you are looking for.
Peace.
